Gabriela Campos | Secretary-General My name is Gabriela Campos (but feel free to call me Gabi!), I'm a senior at Graded School and I'm beyond honored to be the Secretary-General in SPMUN XX. I'm a patriotic Brazilian who is completely in love with politics and dreams of maybe someday becoming president, but until then you'll probably find me eagerly awaiting the next season of Game of Thrones, playing The Sims until the wee hours of the morning or being scolded for playing my Green Day way too loud. If you have any questions, suggestions, or just simply want to say "Hi"! Please don't hesitate in contacting me at gr310656@graded.br. I'm entirely committed to making sure this year's SPMUN conference is the most exciting, most competent and most engaging yet.
Gianluca Salles | Chief Operations Officer Greetings delegates and aspiring MUNers! My name is Gianluca Salles (or Gian!), and I am a Junior at the Graded School of São Paulo. In my 14th conference of the sublime Model UN program, I am honored to serve as your Chief Operations Officer. In this edition of SPMUN, I am excited by the prospect of discovering new solutions to worldwide problems while causing fruitful, intellectual discussions to proliferate within our community. As I anticipate this sensational event, I also plan on catching up on the second season of La Casa de Papel and enhancing my piano “skills.” Besides, I enjoy reading about psychology and American history, re-watching House of Cards, playing my trombone for the Graded’s Jazz Band, and fulfilling my dream to one day establish a pseudo-monarchic state where the populace is steered by the unique holy word of Lord Salles. That said, I am looking forward to meeting every determined delegate that will be a participant of SPMUN XX – and, most importantly, in mutually growing with them. If any questions, doubts, or boredom arises, feel free to contact me here: gr220119@graded.br. See you!
Maria Fernanda Borda | Economic and Social Council Chair Hello delegates! My name is Maria Fernanda Borda and I am currently a junior at the British School of Rio de Janeiro. I am extremely honored and excited to serve as chair of the ECOSOC council in SPMUN. This will be my 13th Model UN conference and 5th time assuming a leadership position. MUN has played a crucial role in shaping me into the person I am today, and it is one of my greatest passions. Ever since my first conference, MUN has taught me not to be afraid to share my opinion and encouraged me to face the world’s problems. I hope that MUN will have this much of an impact on all of you, and that you will also feel empowered to tackle any problems coming your way. Outside of MUN, you can find me watching any movies and tv shows on Netflix, listening to music and playing piano. My goal for this conference is to be a supportive chair and help delegates enhance their speaking and writing skills, in order to provide the best experience possible for each delegate. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions, through my email 2020mariafernandaborda@britishschool.g12.br. I look forward to meeting all of you and making ECOSOC the best council!!!
Artur Coutinho | Economic and Social Council Vice-Chair Greetings esteemed delegates! My name is Artur Coutinho, I'm a senior at Escola das Nações in Brasilia, and I'm deeply honoured to be your vice-chair for the glorious Economic and Social Council! I've been to 15 conferences so far, and I'm glad to say MUN is one of the things I'm most passionate about, second only to watching movies all day-long, and small animals. Outside of that, my time is fully spent annoying my friends and family with political discourse, so if you ever want to discuss the impacts of colonialism or why Batman is essentially a metaphor for liberal government, I'm your guy. This years ECOSOC committee will debate topics of vital importance to the future of human society, and so, I expect the delegates to bring their best and shoot for the moon. Anyways, my email is artur.coutinho@live.com , and if you have any doubts, questions or just wanna banter, just chat me up I guess. Cheers!

At this year’s SPMUN edition I will have the honour of chairing the committee I debated in at my first SPMUN and one of my all-time favourite committees, the Human Rights Council! (Let’s walk towards equality, guys!). Ever since I started getting involved with the indescribable experiences MUN has to offer, I always thought about how much it can power our personal growth and contribute to our construction as thinking and caring individuals in our society. Model UN is not only about discussing international affairs and global issues, but also about effectively trying to change the world; and this is my main goal as a chair: to inspire my delegates to make a difference! Aside from MUN-related things, my passions are watching lots and lots of Netflix series (‘of all shapes and sizes’ as they say it, right?) and YouTube videos or TED talks (<3) about the most various topics and issues. Anyways, feel free to contact me to clear your doubts about topics or any hesitations you might have through my email giovanna.tigges@aluno.chpr.com.br; or through social media if you just want to chat!

Gabriel Paiva | Political Committee Chair Greetings exalted ones! It is I, Gabriel Paiva of School of the Nations, having the incomprehensible honor of Chairing in the SPMUN Leadership team. Model UN has been a passion of mine ever since I first heard of it almost half a decade ago when I was nothing but the learner, now I have the pleasure to be a Chair. In my experience committees such as the Political committee are in the very front lines over the fight to truly enroll young minds in the Model UN program since this is a committee generally filled with intermediate and beginner level delegates, and it is our herculean task to make all delegates as passionate as the chairs. Outside of the committee walls, you can probably find me playing Fortnite online or binge-watching Netflix. Hope to see you in SPMUN (Yes, I am talking to you)! See you later alligators, and remember: Feudalism is the best system!
Laura Cosendey | Political Committee Vice-Chair Hi delegates! My name is Laura Cosendey. I am currently a junior at the British School of Rio de Janeiro, and for my third SPMUN conference I will have the honour to serve as a vice-chair for the Political Committee this year! This will be my 10th conference, serving both as vice-chair and delegate, but this will be my first time being in SPMUN’s Leadership Team, and I couldn’t be more excited! My goal is to make each and every one of you feel comfortable in our committee, so feel free to talk to me or clear any doubts! My Facebook is Laura Cosendey and my email address is 2020lauracosendey@britishschool.g12.br.
Isabella Sendas | Political Committee Vice-Chair Hey, delegates! My name is Isabella Sendas, I am, as of right now, a junior at the British School of Rio de Janeiro, and the vice-chair for the Political Committee at SPMUN this year. Model UN has immersed me with passion ever since I first raised my placard at my first conference five years ago. Since then, MUN has encouraged me to take a step further in everything I do, and enhanced the perspective through which I see the world, making me a more well-rounded student and individual. This will be my third experience as a chair, and I couldn’t be more excited to see my delegates thrive and grow throughout committee sessions! Aside from my love for MUN, I have always been very enthusiastic about History and Mathematics, and aspire to study and pursue a career in engineering after I graduate school. Other than that, you will often see me reading and playing volleyball outside the conference, which are also some of my favourite hobbies! Any inquiries or concerns, feel welcome to contact me via Facebook or my email, at 2020isabellasendas@britishschool.g12.br! I will be glad to help you in any way possible! Challenges are my favorite thing, so it is definitely the fastest way of getting me to do something. The Historical Security Council requires delegates to be truly knowledgeable of the topics. When compromise is reached, I expect it to be done through the best of efforts. If you have any challenges along the way, please feel free to contact me at giovannacmbarreto@gmail.com. I’ll see all of you soon!

During the whole meeting, I had no idea what was going on, what’s the topic and what I should do. As you can imagine, it wasn’t a fun experience for me. Four years passed, and MUN has given me more than I expected. I learned to see the world through different lenses, my critical thinking skills improved, and more importantly, I met most of my best friends in MUN. Paulo Breitman | Special Committee Four Vice-Chair Hello delegates! My name is Paulo Breitman an I’m a senior at the Escola Americana do Rio de Janeiro. It’ll be my pleasure to Vice Chair Special Committee 2 in SPMUN. This will be my 9th conference and second time chairing and I couldn’t be more hyped for it. Now, a little bit about myself. I want to study law, I talk to much, and despite being crushed by the IB on a daily basis I still play too many Nintendo games. Yeah, I think that about covers it. MUN has taught me so much over the years (like how some wretched soul decided to spell committee with two Ms, Es, and Ts) and since this will likely be my last conference I’d like to pass on as much of that as possible to you delegates. It's truly an honor to be chaIring a SPMUN committee and I promise you I’ll give it my best. If you have any further question don’t be afraid to reach out at pbreitman@earj.com.br. See you there!

In what will be my [7]th MUN conference, I look forward to meeting all of you and watching all of you enjoy the stunning experience of SPMUN. If my life were the Truman Show, the viewer would see me listening to music ranging from Flume and Daft Punk to Chance the Rapper and Oliver Heldens, exercising, watching Suits, debating politics and sports, eating, browsing dumb memes, and getting ruthlessly kicked around by the IB Diploma.I hope to see all of you immerse yourselves into the topics that are presented to you. If you are lucky enough to be part of the beautiful Press team this edition, expect nothing less than a truly unique experience getting to know multiple perspectives from various committees. Now, a little bit about myself: I was born in Rio de Janeiro (respect the sotaque) and lived in Canada for ten years (you'll hear me say "eh?" a lot) before moving to Curitiba, where I love to... well, travel to Rio and Canada from. My hobbies include visual arts, theater, volleyball, community service, women's empowerment, MUN (duh.), stressing over the IB and embarrassing myself in front of important people. I cannot express my excitement to make Press Corps the best of the best this conference, promoting interaction, engagement, and enjoyment anywhere and everywhere.
